As one of three performances in Virtual Tour: A Reduced-Carbon Footprint Concert Series, the April 5, 2013 concert featured renowned composer-improvisers performing together telematically between San Diego, CA and Amherst, MA. Telematic music is live performance via the internet by musicians in different geographic locations. The music for this April 5 performance consisted of five world premieres by Mark Dresser, Nicole Mitchell, Marty Ehrlich, Jason Robinson and Michael Dessen, all composed specifically for the telematic medium. The concert took place at 7:00pmPDT / 10:00pmEDT with audiences at both sites. A high-quality audio/video recording will be made of the concert for future release.
